Card payments and your terminal

How DropTheFee merchants get set up, the status tracker, and adding a Dejavoo terminal you already have.

Rowan takes cards on Dejavoo terminals. Rowan sends the ticket to the terminal at the cash price; the terminal's own setup applies your pricing program (dual pricing, cash discount or surcharge) and asks the client for a tip. That keeps card prices, fees and tips matched to your processing agreement.

If you process with DropTheFee

We do the setup. POS settings › Card terminals shows where it stands:

  1. Merchant account application: with underwriting.
  2. Approved: the processor has issued your account details; we load them for you.
  3. Payment processing set up: your account is set up on Dejavoo with the program in your agreement.
  4. Terminal registered: your terminal has its TPN.
  5. Terminal connected to Rowan: Rowan adds the terminal and assigns it to your station. Plug it in and run a small test sale.

If you already have a Dejavoo terminal

  1. Get the terminal's TPN, auth key and register ID from your provider.
  2. In POS settings › Card terminals, add the terminal with a name like Front desk.
  3. In POS settings › Stations, choose it as the station's terminal.

The auth key is stored encrypted and never shown again. The Register shows whether the terminal is online.
