Waitlist: walk-ins and text offers
Turn it on in POS settings › Waitlist. Open it from Waitlist at the top of the Register.
In the shop (walk-ins)
- Add a walk-in with their name, and optionally a mobile number, service and who they'd like. Or let them add themselves: put your waitlist page (yourbusiness.rowanpos.app/waitlist) on a QR code at the counter.
- Clients with a link see their place in line and an estimated wait on their phone; it updates by itself.
- Call marks someone as next. Text: your turn also texts them. Check out puts them and their service on a ticket.
- Open today lists the open times left on the calendar, including those under an hour away, which are for walk-ins only.
Waiting for a time (text offers)
- Clients ask for a service, who they'd like, a date range and time of day: from your booking page (“Join the waitlist”), or you add them.
- When an opening comes up at least 1 hour away (from a cancellation or an open gap), Rowan texts the first person whose request fits. The time is held for them for 15 minutes (you can change this). They tap the link and Yes, book it: they're booked on the calendar and get their forms.
- If they say no or don't answer in time, the opening goes to the next person. Someone who taps an offer after it has ended is told kindly and stays on the list.
- While an offer is open, that time doesn't show on your booking page.
- Openings less than an hour away are never texted; they're for walk-ins.
- No texts go out late at night (8 PM to 8 AM by default).
Texts go from your account's own number, so text offers need texting (A2P) set up in your account. Until then, keep Text offers off and use the walk-in list.
